How does it work?

Lipase is a digestive enzyme that breaks down fats in food to be absorbed in the small intestine and is released primarily by the pancreas, but also the mouth and stomach.1 Most individuals produce enough pancreatic lipase however those with cystic fibrosis, crohn’s disease and coeliac disease may not release enough lipase and require supplementation.2 Those with digestive issues such as indigestion and heartburn may benefit from additional lipase supplementation.3

What results can be expected?

Lipase supplementation may assist in breaking down fat for absorption in the small intestine and may benefit those with digestive issues or difficulty breaking down fatty foods.4 Lipase supplementation has also shown to provide digestive support for those with with cystic fibrosis, crohn’s disease and coeliac disease.5
