How does it work?

L-serine is a non-essential amino acid synthesised in the body from glycine and the presence of B-vitamins.1 L-serine is required for the metabolism of fatty acids, muscle growth, the maintenance of immunity, RNA and DNA function, cell membrane formation and creatine synthesis.2 It is also a large constituent of phospholipids in the brain, particularly phosphatidylserine, which is needed for myelin sheaths to protect nerve fibres and enhance nerve communication.3

What results can be expected?

L-serine supplementation may assist in treating and improving conditions of the nervous system such as behavioural disturbances, memory, multiple sclerosis, neuritis, neuropathy and spinal injury.4
