L-Citrulline Malate

How does it work?

L-citrulline is a non-essential amino acid known for its role in energy production, immune stimulation and ammonia detoxification.1 L-citrulline is combined with malate to form the supplement L-citrulline malate. In the body, L-citrulline goes through a series of metabolic conversions to produce L-arginine and nitric oxide molecules which are known to increase vasodilation, blood flow and oxygen transport to tissues.2

What results can be expected?

L-citrulline malate may assist in improving exercise performance through detoxifying ammonia from muscle tissue as well as increasing production of L-arginine and nitric oxide, which assist in delivering oxygen and nutrients to muscle tissue, through increased vasodilation and blood flow.3 L-citrulline is also known to assist treating fatigue.4
